Privacy Policy — Moli AEO Radar
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Moli AEO Radar (“the app”, “we”) is a Shopify app that measures whether AI answer engines mention a merchant’s store and helps improve that visibility with structured data and recommendations. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and how it is protected. It applies to merchants who install the app on their Shopify store.
Information we process
- Store profile: your
myshopify.comdomain, primary domain, store name, plan, and interface-language preference. - Catalog metadata (read-only): product titles, types, descriptions, images, prices, collections, and page content. We use this to generate structured data (JSON-LD) and to derive prompt suggestions. We do not modify your products.
- App data you create: the prompts you track, scan results (citations, positions, competitor domains, snippets), AEO score history, schema settings, and recommendations.
- Session & auth tokens issued by Shopify to keep the app connected.
We do not collect your customers’ personal information. The app does not request access to orders, customer records, or checkout data, and none of that data is sent anywhere.
AI answer engines
To measure visibility, the app sends the prompt text you define (for example, “best vegan skincare”) to third-party AI providers — Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), and Google (Gemini) — and analyses their public answers. Only your prompt text is sent; no customer data, order data, or personal information is included. Each provider processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy.
How we use the data
- Run visibility scans and compute your AEO score.
- Generate valid JSON-LD structured data for your storefront via a theme app embed.
- Produce prioritised recommendations and prompt suggestions.
- Operate, secure, and support the app.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Storage & retention
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database in the European Union and transmitted over TLS. We keep your data while the app is installed. When you uninstall, the app’s data for your store is deleted and the storefront structured-data embed is removed — no trace is left in your store. We also honour Shopify’s mandatory data-request and data-erasure (redaction) webhooks.
Your rights
You can export your data from the app’s Settings screen and request deletion at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; contact us to exercise them.
